We tried to kill the phone

My mommy loves her phone too much so Kyra and I decided to get rid of it. I tried to lay on it so she wouldn't see, but she found it. And then Kyra chewed through the charger cord so it would die but mommy bought a new cord, and then I got Aunt Cutie to throw up on it, but Mommy rescued the phone in time. I guess we'll just have to learn to like it, it is quite warm.....

Little sister Kyra is bigger than me! She's only 10 months old! How can she be bigger than me! She weights more than a pound more than me!

I asked my sister to be my valeninte since I don't have a boyfriend this year (or any year actually, go figure). Mommy gave me extra kisses though so I guess that's something........

First trip to Pet Smart

Today was the grand opening of the St. George Pet Smart! And mommy took me to look around. I found out they sell a lot clothes, clothes that I both did and did not approve of. I got cold so moms boyfriend lent me his coat and I slept in it for the rest of the trip. Mom said she’s post pictures but she didn’t have the camera you’ll just have to use your imaginations.

Okay so what is it? Seriously mom, I want to know!

Kyra broke the blinds, and I didnt.

Mom came home from work and found out that Kyra broke the blinds...she (Kyra) says that she was just trying to look out the window when her paw got caught, but mommy doesn't seem to believe her.

I however took no part in the destruction. I was napping.

Christmas tree shopping with mom

Today mommy took me shopping for a Christmas tree, mommy says she and grandma are lazy so they wanted a fake tree, I say where’s the fun in a fake tree? But mom didn’t listen and off we went. Unfortunately both Big Lots and Wal-Mart don’t allow “pets” in the store so mommy couldn’t get any pictures of me checking out the fake tree lots. But I did tell mommy to buy some cheap dollar store ornaments, because Kyra and I are likely to get bored and play with them late at night, you know, when the lights are out.

Product review: Naked Munch

Mom said we got a package in the mail today, so naturally I had to inspect it (I’m teaching little sister Kyra how to inspect moms stuff).

So as Kyra and I sniffed the package mom told us what was in it (no surprise for us). Inside were some treats that mom won from Naked Munch they bake healthy and sphynx approved treats, just for us nakeds (and dogs too). So mom thought it would be cool if we all tried them and let everyone know what we think!


So first I tried one, and I wasn’t sure what to think. Then Cutie tried one. She REALLY likes them, and I’m not sure that’s right since she’s the only fuzzy cat in the house and these are NAKED cat treats. But whatever, she’s old.

Next was Kyra, who seems to be too young to understand that treats are for eating not playing, she batted hers around instead of eating it until Cutie stole it.

Last mom tried one, she said she was testing to see if it was good enough for us, and she says it’s good too.

So there you have it, Naked Munch is sphynx and human approved!

Sphynx of the week: Butterball!

Today I interviewed the famous Butterball, he has his own channel on Youtube and he’s been doing videos since he was a kitten!

Alice: Butterball, first let me say what an honor it is to meet you. I've been watching your videos since I was a kitten.

Butterball: Thank you but I hate making videos most of the time. That bald headed bazturd in some of my videos is my dad and he's the one who likes making videos. He makes me do it.

Alice: So how did you get into the movie/television business? Was it natural talent?

Butterball: I've grown up around the camera. In fact, my dad brought the camera with him when he picked me up from the airport and met me the first time. So I've always had cameras follow me. Lately though, the paparazzi has been getting on my nerves. I might bite one of them on the toe if they don't start giving me space.

Alice: What do you do in your spare time? Any girlfriends we should know about?

Butterball: No girlfriend. I don't really need one. I keep busy lizard hunting and laying in the dirt. And when the mood strikes, I can get just about any chick I want. After all, I am famous.

Alice: And if you don't mind me asking, What's your opinion of our current president?

Butterball: You mean the black dude? I don't like him. I thought anyone could do better than Bush but I was wrong. I'd rather have Bush back in the white house. I hope Obama isn't re-elected.

Alice: What are you dreams for the future? Do you think you'll continue working in show biz for a while longer? Or will you settle into a sleeping routine like most felines?

Butterball: I'll keep doing show biz as long as my dad keeps making me. He's the only person that can force me to do anything. That bazturd feeds me so I'm at his mercy.

Alice: Why do you think the chicken crossed the road?

Butterball: I always thought it was because chickens are stupid and it didn't have a reason, it was just clucking along. But I'd love to hear your thoughts on the age old question. Hmm.... I hadn't thought about it but the only time I've seen a chicken cross the road is because I'm chasing it.

Alice: OMG! I love chasing chickens!

Camping with mommy

So with Kyra home and sleeping in the bedroom, mommy didn't want me to feel left out so she slept on the living room floor with me and we told ghost stories and snuggled. That's why my mommy is awesome.

Little sister came home

So mommy left earlier with Aunt Connie and then she came back, with a tiny little ball of pinkish skin. She named her Kyra. She's my new little sister. I'm not sure if I like her, I mean she's cute, and she's clumsy but what if she tries to take my toys? Or my mommy!?

That's why Dita and I didn't get along, because she took my stuff and told me what to do. I don't like being told what to do.......

But mommy says Kyra is too small to take my stuff or tell me what to do so I think that's okay. I let her play with my mouse, but not my favorite one, the one I ate the tail off of......

Sexy sphynx calendar!

So, I know there are a lot of sphynx calendars out there, but I’m making another one (well actually mommy and her friend are making one, I’m just the helper).

Today mommy and her friend Dichele decided to make a nudie calendar with pictures of the sexy sphynx (hehe I said sexy) to benefit the Hurricane animal shelter here in Southern Utah, they have helped a lot of kitties find homes, including Dita, my sister who has since moved on. And when I heard mommy’s idea, I knew that you guys, my lovable sphynx friends might want to participate.

Review: La De Paws

I love treats! And since it’s warming up (maybe a bit too much) mommy took me to a local grooming salon called “La De Paws” that has a sign outside reading “pet bakery” so mommy thought maybe we’d get some fresh baked treats for me and Cutie.

But once inside, we learned that despite the sign reading “pet bakery” they only have dog treats. So mommy and I left confused and a little angry because the sign tricked us.

Instead we went home and mommy shared some of her dinner with me, which is almost as good as treats, almost.

Dita is officially retired!

Dita wanted me to let you know that she is enjoying her retirement up North and the weather is great!

 Mommy, daddy and Grandma drove her to meet her new family on the 25th and she's wrote mommy to say she's doing well now that she's adjusted to the new enviorment. And she sent pictures!

The new house apparently has cat trees for climbing, and some ferrets, and some dogs too. She says she isn't too fond of the dogs, but that the ferrets are fun to watch.

The new house also has lots of humans, adult ones and some littler ones too, I always thought she didn't like little humans but she told mom that she really likes these

Here she is spending some quality time with the little human members of the new family. Dita says that they'll soon be expert petters!












She says she loves you all lots and will miss writing her weekly column, but she's loving her retirement and her new family. She sends regards, purrs and kisses!

Beware of dogs!

You guys, beware of dogs please.

I was at the pet store, the little one in town, picking out some pill pockets and looking at the discount collars (mom seems to think we need MORE of them). And mommy was crouched on the ground with me on her knees, when all of a sudden I look up and see this GIANT dog coming toward us.

And of course, I hissed at it, it was coming too close to mommy and me, but it just kept running and people started to freak out. Mommy shouted at it and then she pulled me against her chest and turned away from the doggy and it ran into her back and knocked her down so she was laying on me, but she didn't smoosh me or anything so I'm fine.

The owners of the doggy came and got it, and they said sorry for their doggy but I do not accept, and I rumbled at them a lot so they would know that I do not accept. Mommy told them it was fine, but she also told them to be more careful.

So please be careful you guys, if your out with your mommies or daddies watch out for doggies who might also be out.

Rehoming

Last night Alice snuck out of moms room, and ran out into the living room. I jumped on her and we got into a fight. Mommy yelled and daddy grabbed Alice away. Then mommy took Alice away and cried, I could hear her through the door.

Then she came and hugged me, and told me that everything would be okay. Then she told me that she's going to find me a new home to live in, with new people. I don't want to go. But mommy says it's too dangerous for Alice and I to be in the same house if we're going to keep fighting. She says one of us could die, I think mommy worries too much, but I also think she could be right. Me and Alice, we just can't share the house, so mommy is going to find me new people, but she says she wont be far away, she says she'll always love me, and that she hopes to visit me, where ever I go. Grandma is crying too, because I was so close to her, and I hope that mommy will comfort Grandma, because I guess I wont be able too. I'll miss sleeping under her covers, and I'll miss sneaking food from her plate.

Mommy rescued me 10 months ago, and she promised me that day, that she would take care of me and never make me suffer again. I believed her then and I still do.

So to everyone who is being mean to mommy about giving up on me, she isn't giving up, she's just helping me find a home where I can be happy. Because she loves me.

My summer Petco adventure! (with pictures)

Mom has to work tonight, but I convinced her that going to Petco was a better use of our time than sitting around watching movies (we do that EVERY day anyway). So we took daddy and were off to the Petco.

First I had to test out the merchandise. I have this same cubby at home. This one costs $22 but mine only cost $5 since my mom is the bargain Queen (as Dita says, I don't talk like that).

But none the less I was checking the quality of this one, and mine is better, it has a blanket inside for me to keep my toy mice hidden under (so Aunt Cutie doesn't steal them).

Also, this one smelled like rubber, eww.

So next, I checked out the buffet, they had fish, birds with the feathers still on them and even some weird jumpy things in water puddles but I don't bother with those because they don't look much like a food stuff. Mom tried to take a picture of me picking my lunch, but kept getting her own reflection in the glass and then the staff told us that the buffet was closed! The nerve of those people.

Anyway, I wasn't in a buffet mood so it doesn't matter.

And I met some fans, young ones, they were so excited to see me, I guess they've never met a celebrity before, mom said she couldn't take a picture of me climbing on them though because their mom wasn't around and she didn't wanna get in trouble, silly mommy, worrying about stuff like that, I'm a celebrity, I'm sure no one would mind.

After Petco, we went to Sonic for some drive in fun, mommy got some werid sandwitch with bacon on it, and daddy got something with pickles (that he didn't like, good daddy). And they got me a chicken sandwich and a water, but I didn't want it so I refused to eat my food, I did sample their tots and fries though and they were good (but greasy, no wonder I'm getting chubby).

Then we had to come home, because mom needed to get ready for work, which I do not approve of. I don't think she should have to leave me home. I should go too.

Product review: Feliway diffusers

So, today mom wants me to talk about Feliway diffusers. You see, I have a problem, I like to make pee on the floor and no one knows why!

Mom thought it was an infection but the vet said it's not. So she tried changing the litter box more often, and even getting lots more boxes. It didn't work. Then she changed my food, and gave me more water, even got a fountain. It didn't work. I still peed under the table and behind the TV.

It's been over a year, and I just wouldn't stop, it made mommy and daddy so angry, and I wished I could stop, because sometimes mommy lost her temper and yelled at me and cried. I felt really bad, even though she always said sorry later.

So then mommy's friend Jana sent us some Feliway diffusers, that was about a month ago, and I haven't peed on anything since (as far as mom can tell). The bathroom rugs are dry, and the plastic bags behind the TV are dry and still bright white. So mommy has hope that maybe I've stopped making naughty piddle.

So if you are making naughty piddle, maybe you should check them out, they're a bit pricey but they're the only things that stopped my peeing.

Dita's weekly 18

Well, I WAS going to write about the excitement of learning how to turn the TV on (even though we don’t have very man channels, stupid local cable) but mom is angry because a certain little purple Sphynx cat *cough* Alice *cough* peed on the floor again!

Okay so it’s not the floor, it’s the plastic bag mom put on the floor to protect it, granted it’s working but the floor, really Alice, really?

So Alice will be talking about inappropriate feline urination in the coming days.

And I will resume watching my Soaps. Ta!

Dita's weekly 17

Hello, I'm Dita Von Nekkid, and I am a nip addict.

Shocking I know, I hide it so well but it's true. I am addicted to the nip.

It all started when I first came home with my mom and met all the other cats, at the time there were 5 others and they were all very nice, don't get me wrong. But they were all so free, so happy. They all just did whatever they wanted and I'd never known that feeling, I'd always had rules, hell I spent the last several years locked in a closet and the time before that popping out little babies all the time. So I didn't know what freedom was. So when Midnite the Bombay offers me some nip, I'm not going to say no. I thought I'd just try it once, just so I could say I had. I was 10 years old and I'd never even tried it, so figured there was no harm.

How wrong I was! Soon I was stealing nip from the other cats and hoarding it, I couldn't do anything without a little sniff of the nip. One day I caught Alex in my nip and I chased him all around the house, of course he didn't care because he was too hopped up on nip to realized that I'm not declawed like him!

Now I know my addiction to the nip is wrong, but what can I do? I tried to stop using it, but everyone else in the house is using it, Alice uses it (even though she doesn't need it) and even 16 year old Cutie is using it, though she says it's for her aches and pains, but I have aches too so why can't I use it!

Mom and Grandma say they love me anyway, and it's good to have their support.

Well ta for now, I'm off to check on my supply, I think Cutie's been sneaking some when I'm not looking.

Enjoy life!

It seems the last few weeks have been hard for everyone, mommy says that sometimes everything just falls apart at once. In the last few weeks mom says everything she knows has changed, and it makes her sad. And it seems even the lives of our friends (human and sphynx) it has been hard too. We've seen a lot of deaths and a lot of illness, a lot of people have received bad news. So today I want to take a moment and remind everyone to hold their baby's close and enjoy the day because you never know when tomorrow wont come, or if tomorrow wont be nearly as good as today.

Take a long nap today, or eat the food that's not good for you, take a few moments to play with an old toy, be a cat today. Enjoy your life.

This is what Grandma's are for.

Sometimes Grandma doesn't notice when I want cuddles, so I have to take the cuddles for myself (she's asleep, not dead, mom would be mad if that happened......)

Spring fashion!

Today we'll be showing off our new Spring fashions, because we know how important it is to look your best so you can feel your best, especially when you're a hairless cat like us! Both these dresses came from our mom's friend Bronwyn. They belonged to our now deceased friend Gummi Bare (R.I.P.)

So first of all, let's see Dita's flowery casual spring dress, great for lounging around the house or taking a walk outdoors. And the pink and white flowers really bring out the color of her cheeks and show off how girly she is. (Alice says: Why is Dita dressed like a tourist in Hawaii?)

Next, let's see Alice's dress, since Alice is younger and a bit less girly than her sister she choose something a bit hipper (shorter) and darker, black with some beautiful shiny letters. Really shows off her legs while and shows off her "punk" side. (Dita says: I can't believe they let her wear something so short!)
